Recycle Building Energy with Airxchange® Energy Recovery Wheels
Energy recovery wheels offer a highly efficient alternative to condition fresh outdoor air as compared to typical HVAC fuel sources such as electricity and natural gas. Our energy recovery wheels reduce energy consumption and greenhouse gas emissions in commercial, institutional, and industrial buildings. By recycling up to 80% of otherwise wasted energy from building exhaust air, Airxchange® wheels reduce heating, ventilating and air conditioning (HVAC) equipment size and operating cost, while enabling increased use of outdoor air.
Airxchange® has partnered and developed a utility incentive program, ERV Custom Express, with National Grid for Energy Recovery Ventilation in the Northeast territory. ERV Custom Express has been designed for both New and Retrofit ERV applications and produces upfront incentive values to offset up to 75% of the incremental cost of the ERV.
Green Facility
Our facility incorporates green initiatives including highly efficient lighting and controls, a white roof, concrete walls using local materials and of course our own energy recovery wheels integrated into multiple DX rooftop units.
In 2018, Airxchange® installed 1000 solar panels at its corporate headquarters in Rockland, MA, expanding its green energy impact and reducing electric consumption up to 90%.
By investing in solar technology, Airxchange® has significantly reduced its offsite energy requirements, generating enough clean energy to maintain monthly operations during the summer months. Airxchange® has generated 720 MWH of energy to date!
ANNUAL GREEN ENERGY IMPACT
Supporting Green Initiatives – Airxchange® installed 1000 solar panels at its corporate headquarters in Rockland, MA, expanding its green energy impact by reducing 100% of the electricity supplied from the grid during the summer months. The illustration compares the annual energy savings we would expect from Airxchange® Energy Recovery Wheels produced in 2023 to the amount of power generated by our solar panels in one year.
Did You Know that Airxchange® wheels produced in 2023 are expected to save over 1800 times as much energy than the 1000 solar panels on its headquarters?
Energy recovery wheels offer a highly efficient alternative to condition fresh outdoor air as compared to typical HVAC fuel sources such as electricity and natural gas. Our energy recovery wheels reduce energy consumption, peak demand and greenhouse gas emissions in commercial, institutional, and industrial buildings.
